The 22nd of April will bring one of the most exciting games of university rugby in Europe as England Students take on the French Universities team at Kingston Park Stadium in Newcastle.
All players in the named squad will be receiving their first cap for England Students as the pandemic delayed this fixture by 2 years. Amongst the players are many familiar faces from the BUCS Super Rugby programme, including all-time top try scorer in the league, Durham skipper Fred Davies.
The only two names from outside the programme on the squad are Sunni Jardine (Birmingham University) and Harry Clayton (Newcastle University) – both had an electric season with their respective leagues.
Without further ado, here are the 23 set to face French Universities in just a few short weeks under the bright lights of the Northeast.
