University Rugby Development Forum back for 2023

Updated: Mar 24, 2023

England Rugby Universities, in partnership with the RFU and BUCS, will host the return of the annual University Rugby Development Forum this spring.

The event is free to attend for SRFU members, with three delegate spaces available per institution. Book your place by clicking the button below.

Taking place ahead of the BUCS Super Rugby and Women's National League Championship finals on Wednesday 19th April at Saracens' StoneX Stadium, the forum is an opportunity for staff and students from member organisations to gain knowledge and share ideas around growing and nurturing the university game.

The Forum begins at 11.30am and will finish at 4:30pm, with lunch and a ticket for both finals provided.

Last year’s finals saw Hartpury University crowned Women's National League Championship winners with a 36-22 win over the University of Edinburgh, while the University of Exeter claimed their first BUCS Super Rugby Championship title after narrowly edging rivals Durham University 14-13.

This year’s Forum will focus on how rugby clubs can broaden their offer to bring the benefits of involvement in rugby both on and off the pitch to as many students as possible, as well as demystifying player safety regulations and recent tackle height proposals.

The event is free to attend for SRFU members, with three delegate spaces available per institution. Book your place by clicking the button below.
