Funding opportunities

SRFU LEARN & PLAY grants

The LEARN grant is closing on 27th September, apply now for funding to attend RFU courses for coaches & officials with 2/3rd of the course cost reimbursed.

The PLAY grant is open now until 9th October, it’s designed to support University clubs grow participation and retain players in the game through recreational/intra-mural rugby activity and community club-links.

Women & Girls Funding

Got an idea or project to recruit and/or retain female players in the game? If so you can apply for additional funding – email universities@rfu.com to request an application form.


ACTION

Reminder that affiliation of the Students RFU is a requirement for student club teams participating in BUCS, NAMS and LUSL competitions – the deadline is 23rd September see the SRFU membership pages for more information.

Inner Warrior

Are you a female seeking to take up a new challenge or a rugby club trying to engage more female players? Allianz Inner Warrior is England primary campaign used to recruit female players into clubs.

The Touch Union

The Touch Union is a non-contact, local level playing format that links closely to the main skills of rugby union. Relaxed, adaptable and social, its main purpose is getting everyone involved and making the players feel good.

Game On

Not got a full 15? -Every Game Matters!

Game On is a flexibility in rules, not a change in the game we all


love. Game on works for teams which, for whatever reason, cannot put out a full 15. Game On


helps ensure the game gets played. Guaranteeing that teams and players can get the playing time they crave.
